Workouts and inspiration to get moving

All the workouts and health info you need to transform your body is free online so why is getting your healthiest fittest body feel so impossible? Is it a lack of motivation? Is it your life and stress that's getting in the way? The truth about why some people never get results or more specifically sabotage their results is simple.

It’s so simple but we complicate it by making all types of excuses about lack of motivation, stress, busy life, bad genetics, dislike of exercise, I could go on about all the reasons people have shared with me in sessions but let’s just get to the truth fast so we can get you moving today with one of the two workouts below.

The reason most people fail at fitness is they are getting a big benefit from staying where they are…

Stop and think about why it feels o.k. to say at your current health and fitness level even though you don’t like the way you feel or look or perform your daily activities. Has it just become the norm to be sick and tired and on multiple meds for various conditions? Do you feel safe and secure in your current body because it doesn’t get unwanted attention? Are you comfortable not feeling challenged physically mentally emotionally by new workouts and eating routines? Do you fear criticism, ridicule, higher expectations, or loss of relationships if you dare to step into your healthier fitter body?

As humans we are very much wired to seek safety, security, and comfort so stepping away from that comfort zone to improve your health and fitness comes with a lot of inner struggle and in turn self sabotage. The thing is everything in life is constant change from marriage, to work, to aging, etc.

But for some reasons we compartmentalize health and fitness as a part of our lives that isn’t like the rest of our life and this is where the solution lies. We must integrate our health and fitness habits and begin to see them as part of our daily life in order to change as we do in other areas of life. So let’s get you started today with one simple intention and one quick easy workout (you can choose from either option below).

Intention: Exercise with no judgments about where you are and where you need to be. As the quote in the first pic stated. Let the space between where you are and where you want to be inspire you!

Workout: Use any equipment your have or at the park to do 15 reps of 4 of the 7 primary movement patterns: Pull Squat Push and Lunge. In that order and with no rest go through this mini circuit once and then rest a bit and repeat up to 4 rounds.

Don’t worry about where you are where you need to be etc. Be present in this moment for yourself.

Intention: Set aside time for your self-care and feel satisfied instead of selfish.

Workout: Go for an easy 10-15 min. walk around your neighborhood then follow it up with 12 min. of yoga stretches. Hold each stretch for 2 min. Can be done outdoors indoors and with furry friends or while watching t.v.
