How Workout Apps Boost Results
Remember one of the first workout apps back in 2008 called Nike Training Club? It was new and cool BUT it actually took over a decade for app developers to figure out what fitness pros needed out of workout apps and now the fitness app market is booming! So as with most fitness tools, some apps just get better results than others. Here’s the top 3 features to consider and a 7 day free trial of our new workout app.
Structured Workout Plans
One of the biggest obstacles clients face at the gym or with home workouts is not knowing how to train when they’re not with their trainer. Most trainers do give clients guidance about what to do on non-training days using various formats including; word docs, pdf printouts, website portals with videos, youtube, instagram and so on. The problem with all this is it isn’t practical when you’re in the middle of a workout.
A workout app on the other hand is on your phone which most people carry on them most of the time. It’s easy to open, follow your scheduled workouts, and mark done when you are finished. This makes it so simple to stay active daily which is essential for results! Check out the pics to see what it all looks like or Get started with a 7 day free trail on our new workout app.
Personalized or Ready Made Plans
The best thing about all the newest workout apps that have emerged since the lockdowns is the level of personalization that is available. The app I’m currently using with clients allows me to completely customize a client’s workouts and workout schedule for as long as they want to train with me. It also allows me to offer ready made plans and workouts using a monthly membership option.
These options are also interchangeable so if you want to stop training but continue using ready made plans you can stay consistent that way. You can also go from a ready made plan to more personalized guidance. Need a more customized workout app experience? Try our package option.
Accountability & Engagement Options
Everybody needs some level of accountability. Even fitness pros like me who’ve been training solo for decades get motivated by seeing those workout completed screens with ribbons or explosions or other animations. It’s a good feeling to know you’re completing those short term goals that get you to your long term goal. It’s also great to have tracking and monitoring by the trainer or team running the app.
The fact that you can add emojis and comments or ratings to your workouts is just another bonus that boosts engagement and keeps you coming back! All this was actually one of my favorite things about using The Magnus Method app which I mentioned in a previous post. It’s also what made me search harder for a great app I can use with my own clients and site visitors.
The Goal Of Any Workout App Is…
The goal of any workout app or tool is to help you reach all your health and fitness goals so be sure to keep these 3 important features in mind when you’re deciding on workout apps.
