Oro Valley Rancho Vistoso has a variety of wonderful restaurants with healthy and affordable options in the 300-600 calorie range. A few great places are First Watch, Panera, Flavor of India, Noble Hops, Kneaders, Just Kebab, Charred Pie, Sprouts Market & Trader Joe’s. With Oro Valley’s wonderful weather and Mountain views, outdoor seating is available year-round.

If you need healthy meals, but don’t want to leave the house, Uber Eats & GrubHub are great options!

Quick Tips for Healthy Eating Out


  1. Leave out what you don’t need.  Sugars, fatty salty bacon, dressing, side carbs.  The calories on these foods add up fast and are rarely necessary for nutrition.  Avoid temptation to eat this by having it left out.

  2. Plan your calories before ordering on an app like my fitness pal or similar.  Saves you from overeating and teaches you how to master calorie control when eating out.

  3. Be flexible with your calorie intake.  Some days you’ll burn more and can afford to eat slightly more calories.  Other days you’ll be more sedentary and need to cut back.  Some days you want to treat yourself and that is o.k. too as long as you adjust the rest of your day or week accordingly.
